Ravens at sea

Sometimes, in the quiet,

I imagine a lilo bloated with air

in the middle of the sea.

I lie naked – scorched red

in the dying sun and ravens circle

silently above.

My Erebus eyes and swollen lips

beg them to dive and surround me

in death – how it tastes like honey

and how the words consume

and consummation mean the same thing.

And I shed my skin into the ocean.

    Beautifully written Kristiana.

“My Erebus eyes and swollen lips
beg them to dive and surround me
in death – how it tastes like honey”

I especially enjoyed these lines. Nicely done. Hope you have a blessed day my friend. Love Joni
