Let’s burn ourselves
beneath the stars,
peel away the layers
of sore skin until
we are nothing but dust – cold,
unfeeling light intertwined
like struck matches
torn at the edges
by the fire between us,
between our lips,
between my thighs,
love me and extinguish me,
wrap your arms around
my wilderness and free me,
let me be above and below you,
let us love until we forget how to think.
Let us love until we are extinct.

Ok. I am in need of a fire hose to cool off now. That was as beautiful as it was erotic. Moreover, it strikes me you’re speaking truth. What a wonderful poem!
