She gasps in sunshine
pink and petal bare
arms open wide
and reaching, stretching
aching to be touched
brushed soft by a gentle
Spring wind.
He glistens gold
hovering tall above
her desire, blossoming
like lips in kisses,
red, supple and stung
and he sees her oranges
peach pollen fuzz
in the breeze.
She sighs, she knows
she is his obsession,
the lifeblood, sweet and sticky,
dribbling from his chin
to his knees –
honeyed fingertips and feet,
this saccharine Spring
into Summer love,
the buzz, the dance,
the insatiable wish
to begin all over again.
