I hope all you ever carry
is strength, a heavy weight
champion who blossomed
from hardship and stern
upturned noses – who should
have gotten to know you better,
who should have seen you smile –
invincible in your fragility,
your open-minded audacity.
Set forth and conquer
because this final time
is yours – buckle born
and ready.
Written for all the kids who were told that their five year school journey was suddenly at an end. Keep going.

This piece packs a punch like the metaphorical heavyweight champion in the opening lines! Such wonderfully positive vibes coming from this, I felt uplifted just reading it. And the line “invincible in your fragility” is just perfect. Truly great writing.

This is amazing, I’m know there are so many young people whose lives are also turned upside down . We all need lifting up. Thank you!
I’ve lost the email about April “Blossom “ submissions Kristiana, can you resend it? Sorry for the inconvenience! ❤️
