We curled into each other’s lives
as if wisps of bottle blue smoke
writhing into the sky, tendrils
slipping to join hands, hearts and minds
a discordant lullaby made beautiful
intertwining music notes and audible sighs,
finger tips and toes and the ridges of our bones
tucked like puzzle pieces
into our unknowns – a lesson
in discovery and mansions
fit for lords and ladies,
a grand piano with shivering keys.
Oh my!
